Cere Network’s Integration with Polkassembly Unlocks the Power of Decentralized Governance

Project updates
October 6, 2023

Cere Network recently integrated with Polkassembly, a simple and easy-to-use Decentralized Governance tool. This integration aims to streamline and simplify the participation of $CERE token holders in Cere’s Decentralized Governance processes. To facilitate this transition, Cere Network has also unveiled the Cere Governance Quickstart Guide on Cere Hub, making it easier than ever for users to engage in governance activities.

The Cere Governance Dashboard serves as a dedicated platform where Cere’s community members can actively participate in proposing and voting on pivotal changes within the Cere Network. It enables users to contribute their ideas and cast votes regarding crucial aspects like protocol updates, feature enhancements, and fund allocations.

Learn how the Dashboard works in this video:

Introducing The Cere Governance Playbooks

We recently added the Cere Governance Playbooks to our Community Portal where you can dive into the details of Cere’s Governance model, find out how to create your own proposals, see how you can use your $CERE tokens to vote and a whole lot more.

Your Feedback Matters

We value your input and aim to continually improve the Community Portal with essential updates, announcements, and new releases. If you can’t find what you’re looking for or have suggestions, please don’t hesitate to fill out our feedback form. Your feedback plays a vital role in shaping the future of Cere Network’s governance.

How to take part in Cere Network’s Governance

Cere Network uses the same governance process as many other networks in the Polkadot ecosystem so it may look very familiar to some of our community members.

The Cere Governance process is as follows:

Step 1: Anyone holding $CERE Token can create a proposal.

Step 2: Once the proposal is created, community members can ‘second’ the proposal.

Step 3: The most ‘seconded’ proposals turn into referenda.

Step 4: The public then votes whether your referendum will pass.

Step 5: The referendum is either passed and enacted, or it gets rejected.
