Ethical, efficient, and interoperable data for enterprises — The Cere Vision Paper

Project updates
October 26, 2020

In an ever-changing world concerning customer data management and monetization, a revolution is just around the corner: decentralized, peer-to-peer, and ethical customer data ecosystems.

Cere Network is the first Decentralized Data Cloud platform optimized for service data integration and data collaboration. The goal? To manage customer data in a more ethical, efficient, and interoperable way.

Which problems are currently facing the CRM world?

While the world is being flooded with data, the Big Tech companies continue their fight on who owns what. The Big Five (Amazon, Apple, Alphabet (Google), Facebook, and Microsoft) owns more than 80% of all the corporate data worldwide. All this data is stuck within their own data silos. This market is worth more than 900 billion USD in profits. When you take into account the other companies operating in this space (SalesForce, SAP, Oracle, Adobe) we are looking at a total that exceeds USD 1 trillion.

Application owners and developers are tied to these data silos when building new products or services. The data that is being shared in these walled gardens have poor interoperability. The lack of alternatives gives the Big Tech companies a lot of power, leaving the developers with frustrations and struggles.

Cere aims to give back power to the developers and users. In our newly released Vision Paper, you can find out how Cere’s Decentralized Data Cloud solves these problems and what possibilities this can bring.

Which solution is Cere Network bringing to the table?

Cere is a Decentralized Data Cloud (DDC) platform backed by Binance Labs. Its cross-chain compatibility with networks like Binance Smart Chain, Polkadot, Cosmos, Ethereum, and others bring Cere in a unique position to bridge the biggest enterprise companies with the fastest-growing decentralized ecosystems.

Cere DCC is advancing the area of innovation that has been spearheaded by Snowflake, which has just completed the biggest software IPO in history, indicating the market demand for innovative data solutions that can bolster this generation of business digitization. Based on a recent EY report, the key areas that will drive enterprise innovation beyond what companies like Snowflake have accomplished already will be reliant on blockchain technology. Cere built the natural evolution of the ‘next-gen’ snowflake due to benefits such as more efficient collaboration, better data agility, smarter integrations, more privacy, and ownership to users.

With pilot partners spanning hospitality, entertainment, and consumer goods industries, Cere’s Decentralized Data Cloud (DDC) platform is driving the adoption of a more ethical, agile, and interoperable process for managing customer data. Cere’s cross-chain compatibility with all major blockchains puts Cere in a unique position to bridge enterprise companies with the fastest-growing decentralized ecosystems.

“In the past few months, we’ve learned — alongside our Fortune 1000 customers — that blockchain technologies can unlock tremendous value and efficiency for businesses in today’s world. By building a bridge between enterprises and decentralized networks alongside the Polkadot ecosystem, the Cere platform will be introducing the first viable solution for minimizing the trillions of dollars in fees and locked up payments trapped in the inefficiencies of laggard enterprise SaaS contracts.” — Fred Jin, Cere CEO.

To usher in a new era of customer data interoperability and data agility, the Cere DDC has been purpose-built with customer data privacy and anonymization from the ground up. The DDC provides a secure foundation for the next generation of customer cloud data solutions to cleanly abstract PII and fully encrypt individual data for both privacy compliance and near real-time personalization.

While initially set out to build a next-generation CRM solution to break the “walled garden” created by companies like Salesforce, the Cere team saw a much bigger opportunity in the data cloud platform while working with Fortune 1000 pilot customers to build a viable decentralized alternative to Snowflake.

To incentivize everyone to learn more about Cere’s vision, we would like to encourage you to join our mailing list right now, after which you’ll receive a personal access code to the Cere Vision Paper Quiz in the coming days.
