Plasm Network to partner with Cere, joining SaaS-DeFi Alliance

Partnerships
November 23, 2020

Today, Cere is excited to announce a new partnership with Plasm Network, the Layer-2 scaling and smart contract platform on Polkadot.

Plasm and Cere are teaming up to bring enterprise-level efficiency and scalability to blockchain solutions within the Substrate/Polkadot ecosystem.

Cere’s ecosystem gives enterprises a next-generation decentralized data cloud platform and B2B2C marketplace that cuts out the Big Tech data and marketing-tech middlemen.

Cere allows businesses, developers, and data scientists to directly form partnerships and exchange services on Cere marketplaces, collaborating on contextually relevant data in real-time, while preserving the privacy and security of user data. (Learn more on Cere’s vision towards the future of enterprise data in the Vision paper below)

Cere and Plasm will mutually benefit from the relative areas of expertise from both sides. Plasm Network is to benefit from Cere’s Decentralized Data Cloud for data solutions, while Cere Network will benefit from Plasm’s level 2 Optimistic rollup implementation that allows sub-network assets and smart contracts to secure assets to Cere Layer-1 blockchain and beyond.

Plasma Network’s smart contracting platform on Polkadot will provide Cere’s marketplace participants with a Layer-2 atomic swap bridge towards the DeFi space, allowing them to place their staked Cere Tokens into staking and yield farming pools to generate revenue.

The Cere SaaS-DeFi bridge will, in effect, open up the liquidity of the DeFi space to Cere stakeholders, who will be able to utilize their dormant and locked capital within the Cere Ecosystem to create new revenue streams to fund their operations and drive their bottom line.

As part of this partnership, Plasm will join the global SaaS-DeFi alliance amongst inaugural members such as Chainlink, Binance Smart Chain, Elrond, Matic, and more, which has been established to create universal protocol standards for the Enterprise DeFi space and improve communications between enterprises and the DeFi ecosystem.

About Plasm Network

Plasm Network is a multi-virtual machines scalable smart contract platform on Polkadot supporting cutting-edge Layer-2 solutions. Recently, Plasm Network announced the vision of an Ethereum compatible network and supported the Ethereum Virtual Machine on it’s testnet. Polkadot Relaychain doesn’t support smart contract functionalities by design. Thus, all DApps developers need at least one Parachain that supports smart contracts. When it comes to smart contracts, we believe that scalability is the most fundamental issue we have to solve. That’s why we are implementing Layer-2 solutions on top of Plasm Network.

About Cere Network

Cere Network is the first Decentralized Data Cloud platform in alliance with Polkadot, optimized for service data integration and data collaboration. While most blockchains are simply distributed ledgers, the Cere DCC is built from the ground up to power the new generation of first party customer data ecosystems. While harnessing similar goals to that of cloud platforms like Snowflake, Cere DCC is delivering a new level of data privacy, data agility, and data interoperability. Cere Network is founded by Silicon Valley veterans with 20 years of experience from Amazon, Twitch, D-Link, and Bebo.
